La semaine nous sommes sages, mais le week-end : il faut se faire plaisir !

Week 11 – ending Friday, March 16: The "Eyes" of March

Eh oui : pour nous ce pourrait-être cela les yeux de mars : les feux de la voiture précédente le matin, sous la pluie d'été, pendant le trajet vers l'école, maintenant que les grandes vacances sont finies ... ô joie !  :(

Week 10 – ending Friday, March 9: Be Still

Et voilà ... pour la ixième fois de la journée Dovakiin qui tourne autour de Mouse, qui lui tape les oreilles, lui attrape la queue ou lui saute sur le dos. Et le gros pépère ne dit rien et reste là : il a une patience en or. C'est vraiment un chat adorable !

And now ... for the umpteenth time that day, Dovakiin revolves around Mouse ears and hits him, grabs his tail or jump on his back. And the big poppa says nothing and stays there: he has the patience of gold. It's really an adorable cat!

Week 9 – ending Friday, March 2: A Great Leap

Un grand bond, une nouvelle vie, un nouveau job !!! Cette semaine, je commence une nouvelle "ère" dans ma vie, après 24 ans de bons et loyaux services j'ai été voir ailleurs si je n'y étais pas ... et je me suis trouvée !!! En route vers de nouvelles aventures !!!

A great leap, a new life, a new job! This week I started a new "era" in my life, after 24 years of loyal service I went somewhere else to see if I wasn't there ... and I found myself! On the way to new adventures!

Week 8 – ending Friday, February 24: Cabin Fever

Je suis vraiment désolée mais nous n'avons pas de "cabin fever" chez nous ... En fait, quand je dis que je suis désolée ce serait plutôt pour une chose : c'est que nous avons des sales gôsses qui ne savent pas la chance qu'ils ont ...

On ne peux pas avoir en Nouvelle-Calédonie 4 mois où on serait obligés de rester enfermer dans la maison à cause du temps ... Bien sûr, il peut y avoir de longues périodes de pluie (c'est quand même une île tropicale !!!) mais quelques semaines tout-au-plus ...

Pourquoi est-ce-que je parle de sale gôsse ? C'est que, cherchant désespérément une inspiration pour un sujet si compliqué (surtout que c'est le plein été chez nous ...), j'ai trouvé mon garçon en train de faire ses devoirs ... enfermé dans sa chambre, avec la fenêtre fermée ... aussi ... alors qu'il y a un super soleil dehors : exactement le contraire de la "cabin fever" !!! Désespérant !

(mais bon : au moins il fait ses devoirs ;)  )

I'm really sorry but we do not have "cabin fever" here ... In fact, when I say I'm sorry it's rather for one thing: that we have brats who don't know how lucky they are ...
We can't have in New Caledonia months of bad time ... Of course, there may be long periods of rain (it's still a tropical island!) But a few weeks, no more ...
Why am I talking about brat? Because: I was desperatly searching an inspiration to a so complicated subject (especially because it is the summer for us ...) and I found my boy doing his homework ... locked in his room with the window closed ... also ... while there is a super sunny outside: the exact opposite of the "cabin fever"! Hopeless!

(but hey: at least he does his homework ;) )

Week 7 – ending Friday, February 17: True Love

"Quelle drôle de photo !" ...  me direz-vous pour aller avec ce thème ...  Et pourtant : pour moi ceci est une preuve parmi tant d'autres de l'amour de mon DH : même si, j'en conviens, il est aussi dingue que moi d'ordi, il aurait sûrement préféré jouer à l'un de ses nombreux jeux de stratégie plutôt que de m'aider à mettre en place une feuille de calcul pour mon boulot. Un prise de tête gratuite rien que pour m'aider : la crême des hommes ! Et une photo de plus pour mon Project Life !

"What a picture!" ... you should say to go with this theme ... And yet for me this is a proof among many of the love of my DH: although, I admit, he is as crazy as me about computer, he would surely have preferred to play at one of his many strategy games rather than help me set up a spreadsheet for my job. A headlock free just to help me: the cream of men! And one more picture for my Project Life!

Week 6 – ending Friday, February 10: Drink up!

Je vous présente la nouvelle arrivée à la maison : Dovakiin (les joueurs de jeux vidéos reconnaîtront le nom ...). Mon petit dragon cherche tous les jours une nouvelle bêtise à faire, une nouvelle astuce pour manger ou boire ... Et là, avec la chaleur que nous avons (eh oui : c'est l'été chez nous et il est bien installé !), mademoiselle a préféré renverser le verre qui était à côté d'elle plutôt que se déplacer jusqu'à sa gamelle d'eau ... Alors tchin-tchin Dova ! à ta santé !

I present you the new arrival at home: Dovakiin (video game players will recognize the name ...). My little dragon tries every day to make a new mistake, a new trick to eat or drink ... And there, with the heat that we have (yes: it's summer here and it is installed!), Miss prefered overthrow the glass that was next to her rather than move up to her water dish ... Week 5 – ending Friday, February 3: Shadows

Ceci est simplement l'ombre des mains de mon fils avec son katana ... sur un magnifique dessin japonais de cerisier. Je ne sais pas qui en est l'auteur mais c'est mon humble hommage à la force tranquille de ce peuple : un coeur transpercé d'un sabre comme notre coeur transpercé d'une flèche de chérubin, emblème souvent utilisé lors de la Saint Valentin ... un rapprochement de deux cultures assez particulier mais l'amour n'a pas de frontières, n'est-ce-pas ? Bonne fête de Saint Valentin à tous et surtout aux âmes de bonne volonté ...

This is merely the shadow of the hands of my son with his katana ... on a Japanese drawing of a beautiful cherry tree. I don't know who is the author but it's my humble tribute to the quiet strength of this people, a heart pierced by a sword like our heart pierced by an arrow cherubic, emblem often used during the Valentine's Day ... a reconciliation of two cultures rather unusual but love has no boundaries, has it? Happy Valentine's Day to all and especially to the souls of good will

Week 4 – ending Friday, January 27: Self-portrait

Voilà, voilà, voilà ... Tous ceux qui me connaissent bien savent que je suis complètement dingue d'arts créatifs : tout m'intéresse du dessin à la couture en passant par l'infographie, la poterie et le collage ! Dès que je suis sur l'ordi, si je ne suis pas en train de jouer avec Photoshop (qui me fait des vacheries en ce moment, d'ailleurs !), je fais des recherches sur Internet pour découvrir la dernière idée lumineuse sortie en travail manuel ... Donc, si je ne fabrique rien : ça veut dire que je suis malade ;)

Yes, yes yes... All who know me well know I'm crazy about art and craft:  every thing interests me : from drawing to sewing passing through computer graphics, pottery and collage! Once I'm on the computer, if I'm not playing with Photoshop (which makes me bad things now, for that matter!), I search the Internet to find out the latest bright idea in manual work ... So if I do not manufacture anything: it means that I'm sick;)

Week 3 – ending Friday, January 20: I dreamed a Dream

Bon, je suis désolée mais moi je n'ai pa pu m'empêcher : ben oui ! J'ai le même rêve que Martin Luther King et que bien d'autres d'ailleurs ... Quand je pense à tout ce que nous sommes capable de faire, nous les êtres humains : des pires choses aux plus merveilleuses, dans tous les domaines ... Que les plus extrêmes de ces actes ne proviennent que d'une poignée de personnes et que tous les autres se contentent de ne pas voir, de n'avoir pas d'opinion, de s'occuper de leurs affaires, d'être trop indisponibles pour avoir le temps de le voir, de suivre les autres sans savoir pourquoi ... Je joue les Caliméro et je dis "c'est trop injuste !". Quel héritage donnons-nous à nos enfants ? Communication, Respect, Principes ... tout cela est bafoué au nom de l'Ego, de la Société de consommation et de la Peur d'agir. Il suffit pourtant de faire le ménage dans sa tête, dans son coeur et dans sa maison pour que les choses commencent à évoluer dans le bon sens ... Seront-nous capables un jour, tous ensemble, de veiller à nous, à nos familles, à nos amis, à nos voisins pour que règne enfin le Respect de notre Terre Nourrissière ?

Well, I'm sorry but I could not help : yeah! I have the same dream as Martin Luther King and many others besides ... When I think of all that we are able to do, we human beings: the worst things to the most wonderful in all areas ... That the most extreme of these acts come from only a handful of people and all the others simply do not see, do not have opinion, prefer look after their business, are too unavailable to have time to see that, are just able to follow the other without knowing why ... I feel like"Calimero" and say "it's not fair !". What legacy do we give to our children? Communication, Respect, Principles ... these are all violated in the name of the Ego, of the Society of Consumer Affairs and Afraid to act. Yet simply we have to clean up in our head, in our soul and our house so that things will start to move in the right direction ... Will we be able one day, together, to ensure we, our families, our friends, our neighbors to reign finally Respect of our Earth?

Week 2 – ending Friday, January 13: Made with love

Qu'est-ce qui a bien pu motiver cette photo ? Tout simplement cette expression : "fait avec amour", c'est exactement ce que l'on peut dire de ce bureau que mon Chéri m'a fait pour ma scraproom. Sachant le souk qu'il allait voir régulièrement apparaitre sous son nez dans notre bureau-bibliothèque, il fallait vraiment que ce soit de l'amour qui l'ai motivé car il est loin d'être déraisonnable ! DH, merci encore pour ta patience et ta gentillesse : tu es adorable :)

Week 1 – ending Friday, January 6: Resolution

Ma résolution la plus importante cette année : le lacher prise, trouver la voie vers la paix intérieure ... En effet j'ai une certaine tendance à m'inquièter de tout, à paniquer dès qu'un nouvel évènement arrive dans ma vie, à me lancer à corps perdu dans 10 petites activités différentes plutôt que de m'atteler à celle qui mérite la première attention parce qu'elle me force à entrer dans des conflits que je ne supporte pas. Et pourtant ... à chaque fois que j'arrive à surmonter mes craintes, que je retrouve confiance en moi, que je ne me laisse pas gagner par la négativité environnante ou déranger par des concepts trop rigides, tout se passe bien : j'ai l'énergie et la concentration nécessaires pour obtenir de bons résultats et je me surprend moi-même de mes capacités.

Gagner la paix intérieure c'est profiter de l'instant présent, ce cadeau de la vie ou plutôt ... qu'est la vie. C'est sentir qu'on existe sans être géné par l'apesanteur, c'est s'accepter tel que l'on est, c'est accepter que chacun soit différent, c'est apporter de la tendresse aux autres sans attendre de cadeau en retour mais juste pour les aider à trouver leur propre paix intérieur afin de trouver l'harmonie, l'équilibre ensemble.

My most important resolution this year: let go, find the way to inner peace ... In fact I have a tendency to worry about everything, to panic when a new event happens in my life, I run headlong into 10 different small business rather than harness myself to that which deserves first attention because it forces me to enter the conflict that I can not stand. And yet ... whenever I can overcome my fears, I find confidence in myself,  I'm not  won by the negativity surrounding or  disturbed by concepts  too rigid, all come well: I have found the energy and the concentration required to achieve good results and I'm surprised by my abilities.

Gain inner peace is to enjoy the moment, this gift of life, or rather ... that is life. It is feelling alive without being affected by weightlessness, accept all as it is, is to accept that everyone is different, bring love to others without expecting gift in return but just to help them find their own inner peace in order to find harmony, balance together.

Why was my photo deleted?

I reeeeeeally don’t like playing bad cop. So if your images was deleted it was likely because:

• you linked to the blog URL or Flickr stream instead of the permalink
• you linked duplicate links
• someone found your image distasteful or offensive. I get the final call on this.
